Who operates this service

Pagadian School Connections is an independent community directory operated by Zton Martuña Jr.. It helps consenting adults discover former classmates, batchmates and schoolmates in Pagadian City. It is not an official school or government registry. The plugin author is Zton Martuña; the website operator is responsible for its use of personal data.

Information we collect

We collect your chosen public name, optional name used at school, and the school experiences you submit: school, education level, grade or historical year level, school year, optional section, and optional graduation year. The school’s barangay describes the school location, not your home address. Teacher/adviser names may be displayed only with the teacher’s specific permission.

We privately collect email addresses for verification and account management, consent records and policy version, submission and moderation history, optional contact details on reports, and limited technical information needed to prevent abuse. Do not submit birthdays, home addresses, phone numbers, student IDs, grades, identification documents, or unrelated personal information.

Purpose and consent

We use this information to review submissions, publish the details you explicitly authorize, show connections based on approved attendance, manage corrections, and protect the service. Education-related information is treated as sensitive personal information. We seek specific consent before publication. Optional fields may be left blank. Publication consent is separate from reading this policy.

What becomes public

After you confirm your submission and an administrator approves it, your approved name and school history are visible to anyone, including visitors without an account. These details may appear in directory searches and connection pages. Emails, consent evidence, security records and moderation notes are not public.

Public information may be copied, shared, photographed or collected by third parties. We cannot guarantee removal of copies outside our control. We instruct search engines not to index directory pages; this does not prevent access or guarantee all search engines comply. Our service does not provide public email lists or bulk roster downloads.

Self-submissions and adults only

This release accepts submissions from people aged 18 or older describing their own school history, including past elementary and high school attendance. We use an age confirmation rather than collecting a date of birth. Do not submit another person’s personal history, current minors’ information, class lists or yearbook rosters. Suspected impersonation or minor entries are withheld or removed for review. Administrator approval does not substitute for consent.

Optional class and batch photos

Verified adult contributors with approved matching history may submit one shared cover photo and a short caption for a class or graduation batch. Photo publication uses separate consent. Contributors must have the right to share the image and permission from the identifiable people shown for public display. Do not upload current minors, sensitive content, identity documents, or lists of names. Administrator approval does not replace the permissions of people pictured.

We resize and re-encode accepted JPEG, PNG or WebP images as a single JPEG up to 1,600 pixels on its longest side and 400 KB. Embedded metadata, including location metadata, is not copied. The original uploaded file is discarded after processing. Visible text within an image is not automatically removed. We do not perform face recognition or automatic person tagging.

Before approval, the optimized image and caption are held privately for administrator review and do not receive a public media URL. Pending images expire after 14 days; scheduled cleanup may be delayed without site traffic. Rejected images are deleted from the live service immediately. The pending queue is limited to 50 images site-wide. Approved images and captions are public, including their direct media URLs, and may be copied by others. Uploader email and consent evidence stay private.

Uploaders can remove their own photo through My Submissions without waiting for approval. Withdrawing all public history, hiding the uploader profile, or deleting the uploader account also removes their uploaded photos from the live website. Anyone pictured or concerned may use the photo report/removal form or contact the operator at zton.martuna@gmail.com without joining. Administrators review these requests and can remove photos. Removal cannot erase third-party downloads or caches outside our control; backups follow the retention and restoration rules below.

Sharing and service providers

We do not sell or rent personal data, supply it to data brokers, or use directory records for targeted advertising. Authorized administrators access information needed for moderation and support. Hosting, email delivery, anti-abuse and backup providers may process necessary information under appropriate safeguards. We may disclose information when legally required. The plugin sends no telemetry or personal data to its author.

Active providers and processing locations: Hosting: Hostinger. Website and database hosted in USA. Email: Gmail, processing data in North America (USA, MA). Backups: Hostinger, stored in USA (Boston). Weekly backups retained for up to 42 days; daily backups, if enabled, for seven days.

We use Cloudflare Turnstile to assess automated abuse. Cloudflare processes technical information for this security check. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy. The operator must disclose relevant overseas processing and any additional integrations.

Retention and removal

Approved public entries remain until you withdraw consent, request removal, or the directory no longer needs them for its stated purpose. Approved submission drafts are cleared after publication to avoid duplicate copies; minimal consent and review records remain. Unverified, rejected, withdrawn and correction-request drafts expire after 90 days. Closed reports expire after 90 days. Anti-abuse counters expire within one day; private sessions expire within two days and email links within 30 minutes. Minimal audit records expire after one year. Cleanup runs daily through WordPress scheduled tasks and may be delayed on a website without regular traffic.

Use My Submissions to immediately withdraw public history or permanently delete your directory account from the live database. Teacher/adviser publication permission can be withdrawn by contacting the operator. Hosting access logs follow the provider’s disclosed retention rules. Backups should expire within 90 days under the operator’s configured backup policy. The operator must reconcile subsequent removal requests before returning restored backups to public service. Legally required retention is limited to the relevant data, purpose and period.

Your choices and rights

You may request access, correction, withdrawal of consent, restriction or removal where applicable, and exercise other rights under Philippine law. Withdrawal stops future consent-based publication; it does not undo processing lawfully carried out before withdrawal. Public directory visibility can be withdrawn through a verified private session without waiting for approval.

Contact zton.martuna@gmail.com, use My Submissions, or report a concern on a public profile. We may ask for proportionate verification to prevent unauthorized changes. We aim to acknowledge requests within seven business days and explain the action or expected response timeframe. You may also raise concerns with the National Privacy Commission.

Security and cookies

We use protected connections, private access tokens, access controls, moderation and anti-abuse measures. No online service guarantees absolute security. Essential cookies support login, submission security and private sessions. The plugin does not enable advertising or nonessential analytics. Other website plugins may use cookies; the operator must disclose them and provide any necessary controls. Do not share private email links.

Accuracy

Entries are self-submitted. Email confirmation verifies email access, not identity or attendance. Approval indicates moderation, not official school certification. Connection labels describe matches in submitted data and may be incomplete or inaccurate. Report errors, impersonation or inappropriate disclosure using the report form or privacy contact.

Changes

Updates appear on this page with a new effective date. A materially different consent-based use requires appropriate notice and renewed consent where required before that use begins.
